Pray Especially For Rulers

Impact:

If you want to see revival in your city, start praying. You are powerful because your voice is heard in heaven. In 1 Timothy, Paul says to the church at Ephesus “I urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people” (1 Tim. 2:1) because God “…wants everyone to be saved...” (1 Tim. 2:4) But Paul also gets specific about how to reach your city with the Good News. He encourages us to focus and pray especially for “kings and all others who are in authority…” (1 Tim. 2:2)

In Paul’s life, he was able to share his testimony with many government leaders. God set him up to have visibility and influence so that the Gospel would be spread all over the world. Begin to pray for eyes to see the divine appointments God has for you and favor with your city leaders. By praying for your leaders you will be blessing everyone in your city.

Prayer:

Jesus, pour out Your love on everyone in my city and especially touch the city leaders. I give thanks for Your love for them. Thank You that you have a plan to lead my city into blessings.
