Influence Is Your Reward

Impact:

God has given us so much and He has great plans for each one of us. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that “God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do.”

One of Jesus’ parables gives us a picture of how we can invest our talents and abilities for God’s Kingdom. Jesus explained in the parable, “Since you were faithful in small matters, I will put you in charge of ten cities.” (Luke 19:17)

If we are faithful with representing Jesus in our cities, He will give us more people to influence. When we have proven that we are “faithful in small matters,” God gives us more opportunities to serve Him. He wants us to have more influence because we are in step with Him as we use the gifts and abilities He’s given us. God has given us authority in our cities to speak for Him and to represent and expand His Kingdom. (Matthew 28:18-20) When we faithfully serve Him in our cities, God will entrust us with more opportunities to share His love with the world.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for trusting me with so much influence, and for giving me authority to do so much good in my city. Send revival to my city and use me to show people how much You love them.
