Jesus Culture - Faith For Your City

DAY 11 OF 21

Ripe For Harvest

Impact:

God wants to set us up with favor so that we can reach as many people as possible with the Good News. Jesus taught His disciples a supernatural way of thinking about planting and harvesting. In John 4:35, Jesus explained to His disciples that most people think this: “Four more months and then the harvest.” But Jesus gave them a new perspective: “But I tell you, take a good look at the fields; the crops are now ripe and ready to be harvested!” (John 4:35)

Most of us think the same way about our cities, but God wants us to believe that a city and a nation can be saved right away. As we read further in John 4, after Jesus opened their eyes, He invited the disciples to enter into a new, supernatural way of seeing people. In John 4:36, we read that Jesus gave them an incredible vision to stir their hearts - “I have sent you to reap a harvest in a field where you did not work; others worked there, and you profit from their work.”

Take some time right now and imagine thousands of people in your city receiving Jesus and being baptized. Imagine a supernatural harvest where everyone is full of joy and celebration! Come on!

Prayer:

Jesus, help me to see things the way You see them. I want to be full of hope and vision for the supernatural harvest that is coming to my city.

About this Plan

Jesus Culture - Faith For Your City

Building on the momentum from this year’s Jesus Culture Encounter conference, we are inviting you into twenty-one days of devotion to strengthen your vision for your campus and your city. We developed this reading plan, in partnership with American Bible Society, specifically for that purpose. God wants cities and nations to be saturated in His presence and we invite you to join us as we encounter what the Bible has to say about city transformation.
