Connect With God Through Adoration | 7-Day DevotionalSample

Day 3 | A New Song
Jesus is worthy of your heart's cry! One of the biggest things that moves parents’ hearts is when their son or daughter tells them how much they love their parent in simple little words. Sometimes it’s not perfectly articulated, but that’s what makes it so special. Out of their heart, they express their love and gratitude toward their parents, no matter how it comes out.
Similarly in Adoration, there are many beautiful worship songs written by others that He loves to hear us sing, but sometimes what really moves the heart of God is a new song, a new heart cry that might not sound perfect but touches His heart. How often do you go off script in your songs and prayers to God? Some of the most powerful moments of adoration are when you begin to let go of "how things are supposed to sound" and get lost is His love and loving on Him. Pour out your heart to Him today in your time with Him. Sing about the unique ways He has shown His faithfulness and love to you. Open your Bible and start singing out scripture to Him and watch how He will meet you.
Prayer
Today, I give You my undignified song and adoration, Lord! I love You. Thank You for Your great love for me. Give me new songs that will minister to your heart, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Application
- Practice singing out new songs, declarations and prayers to the Lord, expressing your heart of love for him.

About this Plan

There is only one way to God and it's through Jesus, but in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. One way you can connect with God is through Adoration. Adoration is ministering to God’s heart through worship. Through this 7-Day devotional, our goal is that your relationship with God will grow as you learn to put your focus on the Lord and minister to His heart through Adoration.
