Navigating Silent Seasons

DAY 5 OF 10

Here’s an intriguing perspective that you may not have considered: a period of silence in your spiritual life could very well signify that you are on the right track. Let’s explore this idea further by using a relatable analogy. When you are navigating with a GPS while driving, the device typically remains quiet when you are proceeding in the correct direction, without any turns or adjustments required. In those moments, you can feel assured that you are on the right path.

In the same manner, perhaps God is silent because He wants you to continue actively seeking Him and doing what you are doing according to His will. It isn’t that your routine has gotten stale; it’s that you are on the right path, and I want you to continue seeking me and learning about me, and I will give you more direction when it is time for you to pivot.

Be encouraged that the Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in His way (Psalm 37:23). This means that as you navigate through life, your steps are not random; rather, they are guided by divine purpose. God takes joy in the journey you are undertaking.

So take heart that He’s cheering you on with every step you take toward the plan that He has set for you. You may not be able to hear Him, but He’s in the press box of Heaven, passionately rooting for His beloved child, you.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the reminder that I’m on the right path. Although I may not be able to hear you, I know that you are cheering me on to victory. You order my steps, and I will continue to trust that your plan is better than mine. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

Navigating Silent Seasons

One of the most frequently asked requests of God is to be able to hear His voice. Sometimes, even those who have heard His voice feel like they have entered seasons where His voice is hard to hear. Through this Bible Plan, readers will be given tools to help hear the voice of God once again.
