Prayer Initiative : Revelation

DAY 14 OF 21

The settings in this chapter are changing swiftly, like scenes in an action movie. First, we are taken to Mount Zion, where the Lamb is standing triumphantly, surrounded by 144,000 whose foreheads are marked with the name of the Lamb and of the Father. A sound like a roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder fills the air. It is a new song that was never sung before – the song of the redeemed.

Suddenly, the frame is changed. We are in midair now. One after the other, three angels bring three messages to the earth:

"Fear God and give Him glory!" (There is still time to receive the eternal Gospel).

"Fallen is Babylon the Great!"

"If you worship the beast and receive the mark, you will drink the wine of God's fury!"

The last scene takes us to a white cloud where there is one like the son of a man with a crown of gold and a sharp sickle in his hand. He swings his sickle over the earth and the earth is harvested. And then an angel swings another sickle on the earth, gathers its grapes, and throws them into the great winepress of God's wrath.

Just like that.

Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.

PRAYER

  • Pray for more laborers in the Harvest.
  • Pray for your church to be a sending church.
  • Pray for active mobilization of leaders, youth, children, women, and men.
  • Pray for the 10/40 window. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir the desire to go to places where the workers are very few or there are no workers at all.
  • Pray for the missional gaps and the difficult places in the world.
  • Pray for laborers in your neighborhood, village, city, country, and digital space.

About this Plan

Prayer Initiative : Revelation

Welcome to the 21 days of prayer initiative! This prayer guide is not meant to give a thorough exegesis of Revelation. Rather, it is a prompting to draw you closer to God. Consider His majesty, recognize His justice, and bow in awe before the King of kings and Lord of lords.
