Prayer Initiative : RevelationSample

When Jesus first came on earth "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem. Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and a sheep before its shearers are silent, so He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment, He was taken away" (Isaiah 53).
"Who has believed? Who recognized the Son of God?"
In Revelation 19, Jesus is coming the second time. He is riding a white horse, judging with justice, and waging war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His Name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven are following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of His mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and His thigh, He has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.

About this Plan

Welcome to the 21 days of prayer initiative! This prayer guide is not meant to give a thorough exegesis of Revelation. Rather, it is a prompting to draw you closer to God. Consider His majesty, recognize His justice, and bow in awe before the King of kings and Lord of lords.
