Prayer Initiative : RevelationSample

"There is no God" (Psalm 14:1b).
Many people in our days say this in their hearts. They live their lives totally ignoring His truth, His Word, His laws, and commands. Ignoring Him. They get married, raise children, build houses, acquire themselves a name, and run after what Babylon can offer: "Cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron, and marble; cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh, and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horse and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves" (Revelation 18:12-13). Life seems to work for them.
Let's read the full version of Psalm 14:1: "The fool says in his heart: 'There is no God.'"
At some point at the end of time, Babylon will go from being exorbitantly wealthy and powerful to barren and destroyed. Like a boulder the size of a millstone thrown into the sea, the city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again. "Rejoice over her, you heavens! Rejoice, you people of God! Rejoice apostles and prophets! For God has judged her with the judgment she imposed on you" (Revelation 18: 20).
Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.
For your encouragement, read Psalm 73.
PRAYER
- Pray for your disciples to be firm and steadfast, especially as the day of the Lord is drawing near. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower them to keep their testimony alive.
- Pray for your disciples to remain diligent in the work of the Gospel.
- Pray this for yourself and your family. Pray the same thing for your church.
- Pray for the disciples who abandoned faith and left the church. Ask the Holy Spirit to touch their hearts and draw them back to Jesus.

About this Plan

Welcome to the 21 days of prayer initiative! This prayer guide is not meant to give a thorough exegesis of Revelation. Rather, it is a prompting to draw you closer to God. Consider His majesty, recognize His justice, and bow in awe before the King of kings and Lord of lords.
