"Go, pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth", the seven angels got their command.

The first angel poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast.

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire.

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness.

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then three impure spirits came out of the mouth of the dragon. They are demonic spirits that will gather the kings of the whole world for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying: "It is done!" Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings of thunder, and a severe earthquake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. Huge hailstones fell from the sky on the people.

A horrific sight, indeed. At this point, the earth is fatally ruined. Yet, instead of crying out to God for rescue, people cursed the name of God, gnawed their tongues, but refused to repent and glorify Him. On the contrary, they gathered the kings together to the place called Armageddon, to prepare for a battle against God.

PRAYER

• By the end of Paul's missionary journeys, the body of believers had grown from 120 gathered in Jerusalem to tens of thousands spread throughout the northeastern Mediterranean basin.
• Pray for new powerful movements of God on all continents, in all regions and countries. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict people of their sins and draw them to God. Ask for spiritual awakening and mass conversions to faith in Christ.
