The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1Sample

We focused on Moses yesterday--and he did follow God, and God gave him courage to rescue the Israelites from slavery. But the Israelites didn’t believe God would give them courage to defeat their enemies in the Promised Land. So they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. Then God gives the Israelites another opportunity.
After Moses died, Joshua became his successor. God commanded Joshua and the Israelites to conquer the land God promised. What was their source of courage? Let’s read what God said to Joshua in Joshua 1, verses 1-7.
Reflection:
What is the source of the Israelite’s strength and courage? How does this apply to your situations, where you need courage and strength? Ask God to help you keep your focus on God and his priorities in the midst of your challenges.
