Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done (Psalm 78:4).
Are you telling the story to the next generation?
God gave the Law of Moses to the children of Israel. The essence of the Law reveals the person and work of God. In other words, it teaches the people about the very nature of the Lord and, based upon His nature, what the Israelites were to do. God “commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children” (Psalm 78:5). Moses pens about the words of the Law, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up” (Deuteronomy 6:7).
Employment Point: Teach the next generation about God’s person and work, as the Bible reveals.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
