Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).
Have you considered the benefits of walking with God?
The psalmist writes, “For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10). The writer then gives the reason for his desire to be with the Lord in Psalm 84:11, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield.” Consider the following benefits granted to those who abide in God: He gives direction and protection, His favor and glory descend upon you, and He withholds nothing good from you." These perks lead me to Psalm 37:4. David shares, “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
Employment Point: Walk with God and personally experience His goodness.
