Creation
Listen to "Creation":
Reflect
Picture sunrise on a misty lake, birdsong echoing among the trees, and a lake breeze ruffling your hair. Or perhaps sun-crested mountain peaks, rugged landscapes, and breathtaking vistas. Excitement fills you at the thought of scaling those heights. These and a thousand more scenarios still exist in God’s good world.
Although our world is now fallen and cries out daily for deliverance (Rom. 8:19-23), much good in creation remains. God spoke and the world and everything in it – including you – came into existence. As you start this 42-day journey, spend time thanking God for His goodness. It takes practice to develop this into a habit, but it is worth it.
● Think about your favorite parts of creation and all you consider good. Write, pray, sing, or draw these things, giving thanks to God as you do.
● Write down the things that make your day. When you experience them, say a prayer of thanks to God for giving you that gift.
Journal
What did you like in this story? What in the story challenges you or is confusing? What does this story show you about people? What does this story show you about God/Jesus/God’s Spirit? What does this story show you about yourself?

About this Plan

Experience a different way of interacting with God’s Word. Deepen your intimacy with God by listening to an oral Bible story each day. Then allow His Word to transform you by reflecting on a short devotional. Grab a journal to record what you notice in the story and what God is saying to you through His Word.
