A New Identity

When you give your life to Jesus, not only do you have your past forgiven, you have a brand new identity in Christ! That means that your past mistakes, your failures, or your shortcomings no longer define you. In fact, you are forgiven, redeemed, and set free from the chains of sin and shame. Now you are a child of God, loved and accepted for who you are in Jesus.

Because of that, you are defined by God and not by how others see you, and not even how you see yourself. You are a part of God's family, and nothing can separate you from His love. God ultimately has the final say on who you are!

APPLICATION:

Reflect on these verses about who God says you are. Perhaps come back to them a few times through the day

PRAYER:

Jesus, thank you for your love for me. Thank you for forgiving my past and giving me a whole new identity. Help me to understand who you say I am.
