We’ve all heard the phrase, “There’s safety in numbers.” And while this is a phrase usually reserved for scary movies, it’s true for our real lives in so many ways. For many of us, we feel better when we are surrounded by others. We all have a friend who helps us to be a little more courageous. Or a friend that helps us to process all of the things we may be feeling. Or even a friend who makes us laugh when we need it most. Yes, we tend to feel better when we are in community, which makes sense because this is how God designed it to be! We were created for community. We’re made to support one another. We’re meant to show up continually in each other’s lives. And what’s more, when we do gather together to live out community the way God designed, we can remember the truth Jesus shared here: God is with us!
Today, spend some alone time with God, asking Him to show you two or three people in your life who might need someone to show up for them right now. Write their names down and begin to pray for them each day this week, asking God to show you opportunities to use your influence in their lives when they need it most.

About this Plan
An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
