Okay, So Now What? - Discovering Life in Light of the Resurrection

DAY 5 OF 5

We were never meant to do this life alone. If you are in a place where you’re asking, “okay, now what?” then make sure you are doing life in community with others. While your relationship with Jesus is yours alone, and it isn’t up to others to lead you, God designed us for community. We can be encouraged and challenged by others in ways that make us better followers of Jesus. This goes the other way too - we can encourage and challenge other people in ways that they might need!

If you’re doing this life alone, make sure you get connected. You might need to reach out to an adult or someone to help you find your place, but a small group is a great way to begin. You might have some awkward conversations and sacrifice time and energy, but every good relationship takes work! It will be worth it to reach out to others who are walking with Jesus. They need you and you need them. That’s the beauty of the church!

We were made to walk in community because we all have gifts from God that are meant to benefit each other. Get involved in your local church, in a small group, and look for opportunities to begin serving others. These are ways you can put to action what God has done in your heart, and in doing so, your relationship with God will inevitably grow stronger. When we walk alone, it’s easier to fall down. But when we walk with others, we can be reminded of our purpose, our hope in Jesus, and be encouraged to get back up again.

Pray This Today:

God, thank you for placing me in your family. Help me to get connected and stay connected to others as I walk with you. Remind me that my life is yours and my gifts are for the benefit of others. Help me to use them to serve you. Amen.

Thanks for completing this reading plan! We pray that this helped you get connected to Jesus. We would love to hear from you on how God used this plan in your life. Keep the conversation going by emailing us at keeptalking@secc.org.

Day 4

About this Plan

Okay, So Now What? - Discovering Life in Light of the Resurrection

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. That's the Easter story many of us have heard, but now what? What does a life look like in light of the resurrection?
