Lost for Words

Have you ever been so overwhelmed that you were lost for words? Perhaps the author of this Psalm became so overwhelmed with worship and praise for our God that he didn’t know how to describe it?! How can you give God the worship He deserves when it is beyond our words and abilities?! Maybe, all we can do is just love Him and enjoy Him! Why do we think the author might have been lost for words? Read the last three verses - The Psalm has moved past the nations praising God - that’s not enough! All of creation is worshipping! The rivers are clapping, and the mountains are singing!

GO DEEP: Vs. 1 and 4: What are we called to do? This is beyond just singing! Use everything you have to make music and create new songs! Have you noticed throughout the Psalms that “shouting” to God is a common theme? Have you ever lifted your voice to God like that? You should put aside some time to get away from everyone who can hear you and spend some time just calling out to God in whatever way you want to. Call to Him, shout, cry, create, make music, new songs, old songs, sit in silence.You will treasure the vulnerable time with Him! As you open up to God, He will reveal himself to you!
Vs. 2-3: What reasons are we given to sing to the Lord a new song? This has to be the greatest reason we have to worship our God! He always makes a way for us! He is the God of salvation! He is the God of new things! Ask God if there is anyone in your circles who needs to hear about His salvation.
