The Song of Two Halves
This poem is a song of two halves...the first half sets out to declare that there is no one higher than our God! The Lord reigns - the earth shakes before him! He is over all the nations - He is king, and He reigns! That is pretty clear, huh? Can’t get any higher than that!
GO DEEP: Vs 5: What is the only way to respond to a God who is exalted? The second half of the song pulls on the stories of God to worship Him. Let’s see why we should worship Him!
Vs 6: How does our God respond to those who call on Him?
Vs 8: Read on in verse 8 and write down why we worship our God. Did you catch that not only is He a God who answers, but He is a God who forgives! That is good news. Are there others around you who need to hear that God answers them? Are there people who need to hear that He forgives? Ask God if there’s someone who needs this song today.
