Praying the Scripture Through LentSample
The Spirit
This week we will be meditating on God the Holy Spirit, the one who enables us to grow in our knowledge of God and to live a life of constant renewal and regeneration. The Holy Spirit is called the helper, comforter, counselor, and advocate, among other things, because He lives to assist us in our journey as followers of Jesus.
Use these verses to worship and adore Him for who He is, what He’s done, and ask Him to help you live a life that pleases Him and brings Him glory. Read the scriptures as prayers of worship, thanksgiving, and supplication, believing that there is power in every declaration.
John 14:16 AMP
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever
2 Corinthians 3:17 AMP
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].
Romans 15:13 AMP
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.
