The Hope of ChristmasSample
The Christmas Story
The Christmas story tells us all about the birth of Jesus. His birth was necessary. Remember when God first created the world, He made Adam and Eve. They were created to enjoy His garden, take care of the animals, be fruitful, and be in close relationship with Him. But Adam and Eve failed to follow God’s plan, and sin entered into the world. Because of that, all people became separated from God. But, God didn’t like that, and it broke his heart. So he revealed another plan to bring all people back to Him.
All through God’s Word (the Bible), he tells us about the coming of the plan. In the Old Testament, we see prophets telling the story of the Messiah coming. He would be born of a virgin, in a town called Bethlehem, and would come from the family line of King David. People from all over would come and visit him.
In Luke 2, we see God's plan finally alive! We even see an angel show up to declare it.
Luke 2:10-11 tells us, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you: he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
What God had promised all those years, He had finally given to us! The shepherd declared this Good News to all people and all were filled with great joy!
Question:
