UnwrappedSample
When faced with the choice to trust God and what he says is best or to trust themselves, Adam and Eve decided to trust themselves and what they thought was best.
They ate the fruit offered to them by the serpent, and at that point, sin entered the world.
Sin is anything that goes against God’s best.
Not only did sin enter the world, but the close relationship between God and humanity was broken.
However, God did not give up on us even though we messed up.
God had a plan to rescue us and restore the relationship with us.
We get a glimpse of it in verse 15. He tells the serpent that there will be a descendent of Eve who “will crush your head.”
Someone would come who would defeat sin and evil for good.
Question: Are there any areas in your life where you are choosing to trust your way instead of God’s way? What would it look like to follow God in that?

About this Plan
About this plan: Christmas is a big deal. It’s the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus. If we aren’t careful, Christmas becomes just another holiday, and we miss the significance of it. In this series, we look forward to Christmas by looking at the story of the Bible to remind us why Christmas matters.
