Abiding in the PsalmsSample
This is the final psalm and it starts and ends the same way each of the last five psalms start, with “Hallelujah!” The entire final verse is so incredibly powerful: “Let everything that breathes praise the Lord. Hallelujah!”. Now, I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that if you are reading this, you can breathe. You are called to praise the Lord!
One of the best and easiest ways we can do this is through prayer. Our prayers shouldn’t always be about us. Prayer is our way of talking with God and having a conversation with Him. When you talk to your friends you don’t just ask them for a whole bunch of things and then walk away. No, you spend time with them and encourage them and show you care about them. It is the same with our prayer life. When we pray, yes, we can ask God for things, and that is good — but we should also be thanking God for what He has done for us, praising Him for the good in our lives. When your prayer life includes praising God, it will really change your faith and perspective in life.
