Impossible Dreams
When we lose sight of the God who invades the impossible, we lose sight of what turns history. Jesus was a history turner. In the Gospels, we witness Jesus interacting with women in a unique way, especially for a period in which women were not esteemed highly. Jesus didn’t care what the men of His time thought. He showed each woman He encountered that she was worthy and had purpose. I’m sure those women longed, as we do, for their dreams to come true and their pasts to be used for good. Jesus empowered them by breathing life into them and their stories, giving them new dreams. I believe these women went on to do great things and were critical in changing history, just like we are today.
Women Who Dreamed
The Bible is full of stories of God using the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary, of impossible dreams fulfilled. In each case, the appointed must say “Yes” to being used and agree to the plan. Women like Sarah, Esther, Mary and many more. Dreams do not come without hard work, tenacity and faith. Who doesn’t love a good underdog story? We love it when people are told, “No. Never. That can’t happen. It won’t happen. You’re too old. You’re not able to do this!”, and then become some of the biggest success stories in history.
Arise and Walk
However long we’ve been languishing in our own doubts, fears, insecurities, and waiting on man, Jesus sees us. Living in God’s presence and imagining what the future is according to His plan is key. We must walk by faith and believe that all things are possible for God. Let’s dream crazy big dreams.
The Lord did NOT make a mistake in creating you. He has a plan for your life. He tells us this over and over throughout the Bible. He has charted a course for you to run the race He has set before you. He’s ready to change your confusion to clarity, giving you full access to His abundant life by His design. I pray that you, sister, will get rooted like the lily. May you be fruitful, fragrant, and fulfilled.
