Patient Endurance
Revelation 13:7, 10
“He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people and language…this calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.”
Satan follows a script that God has already written. He only has as much power as God allows him to have. The peoples of the earth can give him authority over their lives, but the saints will follow the Lamb. The death of the saints is not the end of their story. They know death is only the threshold of this life and the next. The saints live with patient endurance and faithfulness because we belong to the Living God who will bring all of history to a culmination. We know who we are and whose we are. Our race is not about speed, but endurance.
Lord Jesus, you are my King. I pray for your patience, endurance, and faithfulness to grow in me for Your glory.
