The Devotional to End All DevotionalsSample
To be “righteous” is to be blameless. The Bible calls believers to be righteous, to put their faith in Jesus Christ, the only blameless One to ever live, and then live in a way that brings glory to God. The only way to do that is to depend on the Holy Spirit within us for power and guidance. The moment we begin to rely on ourselves or something/someone else, we lose the power to live a righteous life and please God.
To be “holy” is to be set aside for God’s use. God calls His children to be holy because He is a holy and blameless God. He is above the influence of this world and gives us the power to choose holiness over worldliness through the Holy Spirit.
Use one or more of the following methods to study today’s passages as appropriate and helpful: God Follower, Target, or CUT.
Thank God for being your righteousness and making your personal holiness possible through Jesus’ sacrifice.
