Behind The Badge: Devotions For Law EnforcementSample

Keys to the City
There are no magic formulas for eradicating crime from our communities. It can come only through good, solid police work, consistency, and good relationships with the people in your area. If every leader were to seek the will of God, what would our country look like? It wouldn’t take long before we experienced a nationwide movement of healing. If we are going to be completely fit for duty as believers in Jesus Christ, we need to have our hearts aligned with the mission of God.
We’ve been given access to the heart of God through Jesus Christ. He desires for our hometowns to experience healing from ravaged, crime-stricken rampages, and to be restored to a time of peace and order. Believe it or not, He is using you to accomplish His mission today. Don’t take your eyes off the prize and don’t be discouraged; instead, call on God, humble yourself, and pray, and He will come to your aid. Give God the keys to your city.
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me a right heart to pursue you, to turn from my sin, to humble myself before you, and to call out to you. I know you will hear me, forgive me, and heal my community. Amen.
