Truth Creates Conflict

At some point in life, we face painful truths. Often, the confrontation with truth creates conflict that leads to calls you answer daily. It’s not always easy to be the messenger of truth, or the recipient. If all the law enforcement officers in America were asked why they served, many of the answers would sound different but come down to the same root reason: commitment to truth. Our relationship with Jesus is based on our consistent commitment to Him. 

Our duties are carried out because of our commitment to truth and community. When the commitment fades, the motivation to serve will fade too. The reason why any of us serve boils down to our commitment to the cause; it is a high calling to serve as part of the thin blue line. While everyone you encounter will not want to adhere to truth, they will be held accountable for their response to it. Whatever your assignment, be a good steward of the truth today. 

Heavenly Father, help me keep my focus not only on the reason why I began my career as a law enforcement officer but also on you. Protect me from the attacks of the enemy, both spiritually and physically. Amen.
