Day 10: Acts 2-11

Jay Magee, Designer + Levite at UPPERROOM

“And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This reminds me of what the prophet Joel said would happen in the last days:

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.” Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Everything that unfolds in these nine chapters begins with waiting in faith for the unknown. No eye had seen. Everything that happens in our day begins with waiting in faith for the unknown.

As we pray in the active, preparatory waiting for Jesus’ return, it’s important not to presume what and how things will unfold: “For my thoughts and ways are higher than yours.”

In this passage, a phenomenon happened that opened the way for a great harvest through signs, wonders, and miracles.

A few years ago, the Lord gave me a dream. I saw, in the encounter, darkness covering the earth. I was encouraged to look up, where I saw a glory opening. An angel then lifted me up through the opening. I then said these words in amazement: “Lord, You always tell me everything. Why didn’t You share this with me?” The Lord said, “Jay, it is beyond your comprehension, and it was a surprise.” I believe we are at the door of a great shift—a breakthrough into the unknown of His HOLY SPIRIT. Exciting times await those of us who stay the course, “faithful unto death.” We will encounter the “beyond our comprehension,” just as the prophet Joel foretold. A time of greater glory is at the door. Lord, “no eye has seen” what You have planned. We, as a family, pray, “Come.”

We wait without presumption for what the prophet Joel saw in the last days—Holy Spirit falling on ALL—knowing that a great harvest will come on the earth, to the Jew first. A renewal by fire: “Arise and shine.” And suddenly, Holy Spirit fell and rose upon ALL. We pray for alignment with Jesus’ blood that releases greater glory, leading to an earth being saved, healed, and set free—all to the glory of Jesus! Amen.

Let’s roll, family—together, as we wait with expectation, young and old united, to see and receive the impossible becoming possible.
