God created people to be in relationship with Him. In the Garden of Eden, the first people, Adam and Eve, were close with God. They walked with Him and talked with Him in the garden. God gave them one rule: not to eat from a certain tree in the garden. They disobeyed God, and sin came between God and people, separating them.

We all have this problem with sin. We are separated from God and held captive by sin. Jesus died and rose again so we could be free from sin. When we ask God to forgive us from our sin and choose to turn from living life our own way, choosing instead to follow Jesus, we are forgiven and set free!

Jesus said we can be free! With Jesus we can sing with voices of freedom. We are forgiven, free from sin and no longer separated from God. I believe in forgiveness through Jesus.
