Listening To The Word - 1 YearSample
A Tribe
Judges 18:1; 26-29
“…in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking a place of their own where they might settle, because they had not yet come into an inheritance among the tribes of Israel…So the Danites went on their way, and Micah, seeing they were too strong for him, turned around and went back home…[they] went on to Laish, against a peaceful and unsuspecting people. They attacked them with the sword and burned down their city…The Danites rebuilt the city and settled there. They named it Dan…”
God’s anointing on one Danite, Samson, was not as effective in securing an inheritance for the Danite tribe as was this tribe functioning and fighting in unity for their inheritance.
When we consider the mission of Jesus to reach all nations with his gospel, what is more effective, a single anointed person or the Church, living, working and reaching out in unity?
Will we value the unity of the saints as our Lord views it?
There is a collective effort required to reach and see transformation happen in least reached people groups. For our kingdom inheritance to be realized, we too will need each other!
Lord Jesus, thank you for the Church and the many ways you’ve blessed me through this global family.
