With a population of approximately 3,000,000 people and sixteen people groups, Armenia is steeped in orthodox Christian tradition. However, the nation is experiencing a notable surge in evangelical Christianity, making significant strides through missions and a burgeoning thirst for revival. This movement for the Gospel of Jesus Christ champions a personal relationship with Him and vibrant worship, infusing Armenia’s religious milieu with newfound energy and dynamism.

The Spirit-led movement is shifting the religious spirit in the country, fostering opportunities for dialogue and diversity within the Christian community. As evangelical influence continues to expand, it is bringing fresh perspectives and opportunities for new and deeper discipleship.

Prayer Points to Consider:

• Pray for those who have been persecuted for their unwavering faith while being surrounded by unreached peoples and nations.
• Although Armenia is a historically Christian nation, let’s pray for the remaining three unreached people groups, which account for nearly 50,000 non-believers.
• Pray that Armenians would recognize their strategic placement as a Christian nation, seeing themselves as a lighthouse and refuge to neighboring countries.
• Pray for the mobilization of national workers in Armenia who would begin to cross the border into Azerbaijan to proclaim the Gospel to the unreached.
• Pray for the wounds of the Turkish war to be healed and that Christian Armenians would have a conviction to cross the border into Türkiye to bring the healing power of the Gospel.

Dear Heavenly Father...I come into Your presence with praise and adoration ______ (take time to do this). Today, I bring Armenia before Your throne, praying for Holy Spirit revival among the orthodox and evangelical communities with a passion for more of You. May the Spirit ignite Your written Word to Armenian believers, reminding them of Your miraculous power that is still at work today, demonstrating Your love for their own lives and the lost. I speak healing to deep wounds from war and hostilities that would keep the nation from recognizing their strategic location in the world and praying for all these things in the Matchless Name of Jesus.
