Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a Dayনমুনা
Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
There are lots of ways to pray. You may be most familiar with and practiced “extemporaneous” prayer, a theological term for praying off the top of your head as the Holy Spirit prompts you.
But you aren’t limited to that kind of prayer, especially when you don’t know what to say!
So, you can change up your prayer diet by getting a book of prayers and reading through it. There are also tons of pre-written prayers online for just about every circumstance.
Regardless of how you go about it, pray in every situation. There is nothing too shallow, too small, or too silly for you to ask God for. He wants to guide you and give you what you need. If you are not already, start giving every situation to God and watch what happens.
Prod
Today, ask God what He wants you to wear. I know this sounds dumb, but it’s not. God wants to be involved with your life. Starting the practice of inviting Him into every situation will change your heart. Start today.

Pray
Jesus, thank you for caring about everything. Thank you that I can TRUST YOU in every situation. Today, I commit to going to you BEFORE I go to the world. I give you my life. Take me, make me, mold me. Set me free! I trust you! Amen

About this Plan
Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
