Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a Dayনমুনা
Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
Can I be honest? I used to hold back in my prayers. I didn’t pray for big things because . . . I didn’t want to be a pest or ask God for too much.
Deep down, I think I thought God would be offended when I asked Him something that, to my eyes, seemed way too huge.
But guess what? God is NOT offended when I pray for big things. Why would He be? He’s God! Nothing is too big or difficult for Him!
God wants to do big things on our behalf, just like a good parent wants to do big things for their kids.
Don’t be afraid to ask BIG. God loves it because God loves you!
Prod
Are you holding back from asking God for something big? Write down the big thing you feel God is asking you to pray for and make it a key part of your prayer life.

Pray
Jesus, help me to dream big . . . bigger than anything I have ever imagined before. Activate my faith and plant dreams in my heart that only you can make possible. Come alive in me and flood my heart with your Holy Spirit! Help me to dream as big as you. Amen.

About this Plan
Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
