Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a Dayনমুনা
Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
It may not always seem like it, but prayer works. You and I are living proof.
Try this on. I’m going to tell you something about myself, and you see if it rings true for you:
Every good thing that’s ever come to me is a result of someone’s prayers. I am only here on this earth because people prayed for me.
Do you agree? I know my story is full of answered prayers from little old ladies in the church I grew up in. As I got sober and began to change my life, many of them sent messages and letters and made phone calls to tell me how they prayed for me for years!
God answers prayers. Oftentimes, it starts with your faith!
Prod
If you’re here because of others’ prayers, who can YOU lift in prayer today? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you, then commit to keeping them in prayer as long as God asks you to.

Pray
Jesus, I lift [NAME OF PERSON] to you today. Bless them wherever they are, and let them feel a tangible presence of your love for them. Thank you for putting them in my life and answering their prayers for me. Help me to see someone today that I can pray for. Amen.

About this Plan
Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus. Press forward into what God has for you. Press pause.
