Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

In this verse, Jesus empowers His disciples with the remarkable ability to confront evil and bring healing. It's important to remember that these extraordinary gifts were granted for a specific purpose: to demonstrate God's power and Jesus' authority over sin and the brokenness of the world.

While we may not experience the same miraculous gifts as the disciples did, we should take heart. God still performs miracles today, albeit in different forms. The greatest miracle of all is that of salvation: the transformation of our hearts from cold, stubborn stones to soft, surrendered instruments of His grace.

As we meditate on this truth, let us rejoice in the knowledge that God is still at work in our lives. The incredible gift of salvation is available to all who believe. It's this change in our hearts that empowers us to love, serve, and share the hope we have in Christ with a world in need.
