Journey With Jesus 365ናሙና

Luke 8:22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

In this passage, we find Jesus inviting His disciples on a journey across the lake, reassuring them with the words, "Let us go over," which emphasizes their shared experience. Despite His clear intention and presence, a sudden storm arises, filling the disciples with panic. In their fear and uncertainty, they wake Jesus, crying out as if they are about to perish.

It’s easy to judge the disciples for their lack of faith, but how often do we find ourselves in similar situations? We might know that Jesus is with us and has promised to guide us, yet when the storms of life hit - such as illness, loss, or anxiety—we may react with panic, just as the disciples did.

Amid their fear, Jesus calmly asks, "Where is your faith?" He then speaks to the wind and waves, bringing peace and stillness to the storm.

As we reflect on this story, let’s evaluate our own lives. Are we trusting Jesus in the storms that threaten to overwhelm us? Remember, He is in the boat with us and possesses the power to calm the storms we face. Let’s hold on to His promise to be with us on every journey and rest in the peace that only He can provide.
