Persevere in prayer

“I don't often spend more than half an hour in prayer at one time, but I never go more than half an hour without praying” (Smith Wigglesworth)

Unfortunately, many people, including many believers, have not yet realized that the time of prayer is the best time of our life, a time redeemed. There is no more beautiful time for a child of God than that spent in the secret closet of prayer and communion with the Father. Prayer is the breath of the soul, fuel for the spirit, and refreshment for the body.

The Apostle Paul exhorts us in Ephesians 6:18 to pray, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit." In fact, praying does not only mean asking. We discover the true power of prayer when we fully live the meaning of the model of prayer taught by Jesus to all his disciples: the “Our Father” prayer. A model of prayer that surely leads us to praise the Father, to seek the kingdom of God in our hearts, to desire to do His will, to ask to be fed and to be protected from temptation and evil, and last but not least, to ask for forgiveness after having forgiven others.

When you truly pray with all your heart, you can be sure that you will not have wasted even a moment of your time; on the contrary, you will realize that you are able to live all the rest of your time in the best possible way.

So, why wait? Start recovering precious time right away; pray!
