Abraham

There is so much to think about with Abraham. So many wonderful things he did and so many poor choices he made. It’s all there for us to read, particularly Genesis chapters 11 to 25 and then summed up in Hebrews 11:8–12.

A great story of a man who followed, spoke with, reasoned with, listened to and trusted God. Leaving his homeland, receiving God’s promise, having a son with his wife very late in life, being tested, being the father of God’s chosen people.

Abraham listened to God and trusted Him. Just like we are called to do. To be a part of God’s amazing plan.

We may not ever lead a nation, but it will be significant in its own way. The key thing is to listen to what God says and be obedient. Not perfect; obedient.
