Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
What does this passage tell us about God's attitude toward injustice?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
- As you read this passage, did anything come to mind that you wished would be made right? What was it?
- Why do you think God cares if we seek justice or not?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
- What part have you played in injustice in the past, and what was that experience like for you? It could be you were the cause, even without realizing it. Or you could have been the one injured by it.
- What would it look like for you to "seek good, not evil" today?
- How would your school, community, or family be changed if more people were committed to righting wrongs? What can you do to encourage others to join you in this?
