King of Kings

Ask your kids who is in charge of your home, their sports team, their school. Who makes the final decisions? Then ask them to think of a couple rules that, if broken, bring certain consequences.

When kings make rules, there is no tolerance for disobedience. There have been lots of kings. Each king ruled for a while, and then another king took his place. Jesus is different. He is the “King of kings,” and He will rule forever. All other leaders are under His authority.

Knowing Him By Name

As Matthew 20:28 tells us, "the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Families can follow Christ's example by serving others. For each day of Advent, we have found scripture and a family activity or conversation to talk about and show what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, so that we may all "Know Him By Name."
