Take One Action, One Single Step in God’s Direction

Sometimes our reticence to pray, to turn toward God, is due to our doubt that God is with us. This doubt can even be unconscious or not deliberate. We might be stuck in the belief that we are alone and we are the one who needs to figure things out. We believe we need to deal with our problems alone.

And what is the best remedy we know to relieve our mind of this habit and lack of trust? It’s to take one action, one single step in God’s direction. To put this in practical terms, what this means is to take a step toward love.

Consider these three sentences he said to you in the previous day's plan: “And I am responding. I am present. I am loving you.”

Will you stay here, with these three sentences, for one minute now? Just one minute. Close your eyes and let your mind and heart picture him speaking this to you now. Over and over. Over and over.

If you can spend another minute or two ... that’s awesome, too.

Meditate on his words to you. Expect him to guide you. Expect him to lead you. He has more love for you, the love that changes everything. (Amen!)
