Communion means intimate fellowship and close rapport with Jesus Christ. At the cross, you were bought with a price, and at the point of salvation you were introduced to the One who bought you (1 Corinthians 6:20). But to know and understand the price He paid, you have to read the directions and get to know your Purchaser. In short, you have to build an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ, which comes from reading His Word.

Building a relationship with Christ comes with immeasurable benefits. He will meet your every need. He will bless you in your efforts to serve Him. He will grant you peace in the middle of a storm.

But remember, communication with Him does not happen by chance. It is a decision of your will. So, commit to having communion with the One who saved you, and you will begin to experience the benefits that come from being purchased.
