Draw Near - Praise

Ọjọ́ 14 nínú 15

Did you know that if you add up all the time you spend going to the bathroom, you spend about 1,000 days of your life in the washroom!

1,000 days is about 2.7 years. Imagine living on the moon for 2.7 years, or on a beach in Hawaii, or spending 2.7 years at Disneyland. What would you like to spend 1,000 days doing? The writer of this Psalm enjoyed being in God’s presence so much he would rather spend just one day in God’s presence than a thousand days anywhere else. The Bible says that 1 day in God’s presence is better than 1000 anywhere else.

When you’ve had a taste of worshipping God and delighting in His presence, you’ll know just what the psalmist is talking about. Being in God’s presence satisfies us more than anything else in the world could do. I love being in God’s presence, there is nothing else like it in the world. I love to spend time with God and in God’s House. We can worship God anytime and anyplace. We get to spend more than just one day, even more than a thousand days! We can enjoy and delight in being in God’s presence for all the days of our lives.
