Faith vs FearНамуна

Do you know the difference between faith and fear?
Faith (in God) is always good, but fear is not always bad.
In fact, fear is a healthy, God-given emotion. It is a natural instinct designed to protect us from danger. Imagine facing a wild tiger and feeling no fear… that would be a problem! 😵
Sometimes, we’re told that in order to have faith, we cannot have any fear. But that’s not true. The absence of fear is not faith–it is recklessness. A man without any fear is a danger to himself and those around him.
I would go even further and say this: without fear, you wouldn’t need faith.
Let that one sink in for a minute. 🤔
Think about it–why would you need faith to trust God with your problem, request, or worry if you have absolutely no fear or doubt that it will happen? We only require faith when there is an amount of uncertainty. In those moments, we have a choice: to try to control the situation by worrying or to trust that God will come through.
You might wonder, “Why would God design us with an emotion such as fear only to encourage us to trust Him instead?”
It’s because God wants you to be free to choose whether you trust a natural instinct or a supernatural God. He desires nothing more than for us to have faith in Him, but faith wouldn’t truly be faith unless we had an alternative, and that’s fear.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6
*|FNAME|* I’d like to pray over you a prayer based on Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:16-19:
“I pray that God gives you His glorious strength through His Spirit to have faith, so that Christ may dwell in your heart and that you will grasp how wide and long and high and deep the love of Christ for you is, and experience this love that surpasses all understanding and that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
