DAY 2 OF 7

TO BE A DIFFERENT PERSON

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NIV)

Jesus Christ taught us how to live as Godly people. Jesus did not teach only theories, but He lived it. His disciples saw it and wrote about it. During His time, Jesus saw the teachers of the law, the scribes and the Pharisees who did not live a life of loving God and others but instead chose a life of only doing religious activities.

In fact, these days there are people who are call themselves Christian because they go to church every Sunday or are actively involved in church activities. But most importantly, have we become the doers of His Words? God is not interested in our so-called Godly life if it is only for a religious act.

Jesus Christ said that believers are the salt and the light of the world. Our lives are called Godly only if the people around us feel blessed by our presence. We ought to live in loving ways with others.

If we can only love those who are good to us, that is a normal thing. But if we want to be different from the world, we have to learn how to forgive those who sin against us. Jesus taught us wherever we go to bring peace to all people; to live in fairness without questioning a person’s background, status or race.

Let our hearts be led by the truth of His Word and bring the heavenly values wherever we are, and God will certainly help us.

The greatest blessing in our lives is not the time when we receive the blessing, but when we become a blessing to all people.
