7 Ways to Think Fresh

Get Closer to God Today

We've become used to so much in life; that's why we take it for granted. The good, but unfortunately, also the bad. In particular, our imprints and trains of thought can unconsciously confuse us when it comes to the MIRACLE God wants to provide us with! So this week we want to uncover some of those dangerous lies and replace them with the truth!

Do you sometimes feel your life is the way it is—and not the way you would like it to be—because God is punishing you for something you've done?

Think carefully. Have you done something that you believe displeased God, but you quickly pushed that thought aside because there's nothing you can do about it?

But what you cannot put aside is the distance between God and you, which is ingrained in your life because of what you’ve done. That sense of distance. Because remember one thing: a feeling is not necessarily the truth!

How often do I hear the sentence: "Déborah, you have God's favor because you do so much for Him and live so holy..." And, you can't even imagine what this sentence triggers in me.

On the one hand I think, "If you only knew how many times I fail and need God's grace," and on the other hand it makes me sad for the people who still doubt God's unconditional love, which cannot be earned.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10 NKJV)

I know you've probably heard that a thousand times, but did you really get it? Do you really believe that when you've failed once again, you’ve messed everything up for good?

Don’t live any longer in this prison, because Jesus died for your freedom!

And so I encourage YOU, to stop thinking, "Yes, others have God's favor because they fail less," but to believe the truth: "Jesus died for me—even when I fail again—so I can live a life close to God!"

Thank you Jesus!

You are a miracle!

Déborah
