7 Ways to Think FreshChikamu
No Need to Worry!
"Unfortunately, my boy, who is only six years old, is very ill and will never be able to father children himself." A reader wrote us these words, and they touched my heart.
When we receive letters from readers here at A Miracle for Every Day, then I rejoice with you, but I also cry with you, and pray for you as you go through difficult times.
After reading this letter, God showed me the truth. It's probably the verse I quote most from John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10 NIV)
In the case of this precious woman, at the moment it looked like the devil might be robbing her and her son by taking away his ability to give life.
At that moment the devil wanted to steal so much more, namely, the opportunity of rejoicing TODAY in this beautiful boy that God had given to this woman. Worries about his future overshadowed the current reality of having a live child.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34 NIV)
Why are you worried today about what God has a solution for tomorrow? He doesn't want you to worry!
When the doctors told me I would never have children because of my eating disorder, my mother wasn't worried. Rather, she took care of me—the "current" concern—and prayed for me.
The result: God has restored and healed me over the years. And yet I haven't had any children to this day. But that's not a "worry" for me either.
I know God has a solution today for tomorrow's worries!
And why exactly do you want to worry about tomorrow now? 😀
You are a miracle!
