It's Time to Plant

DAY 10 OF 10

Water It

God wants you to partner with Him to water the seeds He has given you. God wants to partner with you to water the seeds that you have planted. You water the seeds primarily with The Words You Speak. Words are like living waters following out of your heart. You water your destiny, the seed you sow with your words. What words have you been speaking? This is why you need to be careful with your words, particularly when you are upset, angry, or doubtful. If you are doubtful, don’t say anything. Why? What you don't say cannot be used against you. If you are doubtful, just keep quiet.

Remember Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. When Zechariah doubted and verbalized his doubt, God shut his mouth. Why did God do that? We are powerful beings, made in God’s image. People have destroyed the seeds God has planted in their lives and through their lives with their mouths. Some people have reduced their destinies with the words they have spoken. Remember Esau, Jacob’s brother? Some have limited the destinies of their children with the words they are speaking over them. Words are seeds. Words are powerful.

Water carries life in it. One of the main functions of water in our bodies, for example, is to transport nutrients, vitamins, and food supply to the body. The water of God in our lives carries life. The words that you speak they are spirit and they are life. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. You water your destiny with your words. You have planted seeds, water it because water carries life. Water is life. Water makes life fruitful. Water purifies. As you water your seeds sown, you are cleansing your future. You are cleansing your destiny. Jesus cleanses His Church, the bride, His bride by washing it with water by the word. Water cleanses, it purifies, it sanctifies. Water connects. Water connects your seed to the nourishment it needs for growth and multiplication to happen.

Your earth and the seeds you have planted are thirsty for the water of your words.

What words have you been speaking?
What words do you need to start and continue speaking?

Take 5: Talk to God in prayer about your takeaway from today’s reading.

About this Plan

It's Time to Plant

Right from the beginning, in the creation story, God shows us a pattern which contains a huge lesson. And this lesson continues throughout the Bible. Jesus shows up on the scene and points to this same lesson. As long as heaven remains, seed time and harvest will continue. This plan focuses on seed, planting, and watering. A key principle of the kingdom of God and therefore, to every believer after God’s heart.
