Go: Your Action Plan To Change The World

DAY 13 OF 32

"Connecting to the World" READY As you read through the verses, you probably noticed that Peter preached the gospel by sharing what was spoken by the prophet Joel in the Old Testament. You might have wondered why he went all the way back. You've never used what Peter shared in a gospel presentation, so why did he preach that anyway? The people who came to Jerusalem were there because it was the Passover feast. Jews from different parts of the known world flocked to that city to celebrate because they remembered how God saved their ancestors from the last plague He threw at Egypt. Peter preached the way he did because he knew the Jews would be connected to the preaching and thus prepared to believe the Good News. In the same manner, as you share the gospel to your classmates, make sure that you contextualize it. Put it in their words. Use stories they can relate to. Make it so clear and understandable so that they would listen to you.. You may never have to share the Old Testament but for sure God can give you creative ways for you to connect to them. SET When was the last time you shared the gospel with a classmate? Do you think you were able to connect to them? Where they able to connect with you? GO Get coaching on how to share the gospel in a way that students today can understand. Writing a spiel on how you would share the gospel may also help you to watch out for religious jargons.
