Go: Your Action Plan To Change The WorldSample
"Health and Growth"
READY
Health determines growth or success, whether we're referring to plants, animals, organizations or human beings. A plant's health is determined by the color of it's leaves and stems. Organizations are judged by their teamwork and their ability to meet goals and fulfill their mission. For us humans, we're healthy when we meet all our basic needs. The same goes for the church.
After three thousand were saved, the apostles made sure that they were discipled. They weren’t just happy with the numbers. They made sure that the church was spiritually healthy. The believers were taught about the kingdom of God and constantly met and prayed together.
It’s fine to believe for thousands to be saved in your campus, but we must never forget that it is more important that we nurture them through discipleship. As we pursue a healthy relationship with God, we encourage others to the same. We are going to make sure that they are established, equipped and empowered. With all of us being healthy, we can expect growth in their walk with God and also in the ministry.
SET
What areas do you think you need nurturing in for you to grow spiritually? How are the people God gave you to disciple? Are you taking time to help them grow healthy spiritually?
GO
Choose one or two from the people you are discipling and ask start a conversation with them to find out how they are spiritually. Ask God to give you grace and persistence to nurture those you are currently discipling and those that He has yet to entrust to you to disciple.
About this Plan
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commissioned the disciples to GO and make disciples of all nations. This 31-day devotional chronicles how a number of unschooled, ordinary men heeded that command, preaching a message that changed hundreds and then thousand and then generations. This comprehensive study on Acts aims to empower student believers to boldly preach the gospel with the goal to change the world one campus at a time.
